Remove the filter from the hood and shake off any excess dirt.
Immerse the filter in a basin of boiling water and vinegar.
Add baking soda to dissolve the fat.
Let it soak for 5 minutes , then scrub with a sponge or toothbrush.
Rinse well under running water and let dry completely before putting it back.
