In the late 1970s, Richard went through a particularly dark period.

After losing his wife some time earlier, he lives in a house that has become too big and too quiet. The evenings seem endless to him. The once-bustling kitchen is now quiet, and every object reminds her of the dreams they had built together.

However, a sentence spoken by his wife before his death continues to resonate in his mind: never let love disappear, but offer him a place to continue living.

Richard does not yet know how to give shape to this promise.

Until that stormy evening when fate will discreetly knock on his door... or rather that of a small orphanage.

An unexpected encounter in a silent corridor
On a cold and rainy night, his car breaks down near a children's facility. Richard simply walks in to use the phone.

But even before calling a breakdown service, he hears crying.

Not a single baby.
