The nights are short, the days are full and every euro counts. Richard did a lot of odd jobs, repaired, built and organized the house to accommodate the children.

Little by little, the house is transformed.Cribs appear in the bedrooms. Bottles are heating up on the stove. The garden is covered with laundry that dries in the sun.

Richard learns everything on the job: calming a restless baby, preparing meals, braiding hair, and recognizing every smile.

Because very quickly, the nine girls develop their own personalities.

Some laugh out loud.
Others observe the world calmly.
Still others are full of energy.
