Management Phase Goal Procedure
Acute Infection Resolve bacterial load and swelling. Antibiotics (often broad-spectrum, targeting common skin and anaerobic flora). If an abscess is present, Incision and Drainage (I&D) is performed to relieve pressure and remove pus.
