This drink is the most effective for taking care of your liver, according to a nutritionist.
Fortunately, there are drinks that can help you take care of your liver on a daily basis. "When we say we're having a liver attack because we eat a lot of fat all at once, like a chocolate bar, we're actually having a gallbladder attack," says Virginie Charreau, a nutrition engineer and registered dietitian at Top Santé. The specialist also explains that "the gallbladder has trouble coping" if we consume "too much saturated fat" at once, which can cause intense pain. She also reveals that when we "say we're taking care of our gallbladder," we should really mean "pampering our liver." Indeed, by taking care of our liver, we're also taking care of our gallbladder. Virginie Charreau shares her tips with our colleagues for effectively relieving these two organs. "It is important to eat foods rich in fiber, such as root vegetables (turnip, rutabaga, radish, black radish, salsify) or stem vegetables (asparagus, artichokes). This way, the liver is not overloaded, it doesn't have too much work to manage," she advises.
